This morning after breakfast I ran into town to pick up a few things for my Mom before I left. I came back and packed up the car. I stopped at my old neighbors for lunch and got to meet her two grand kids for the first time. I had lettuce and cottage cheese for my extra veggie and extra protein. Cottage cheese is a meatless protein option so thought I over did the dairy but I counted it as a protein. The ride home got pretty bad with high winds and blowing snow but I made it back safely and I did have a crunch bar on the drive home. I stopped one last time at Culvers for my grilled chicken salad that makes 5 nights in a row. But now that I’m home I’ll be cooking and having different options for dinner again. I’m just about ready for my pudding and bed.
I’m glad I’m on the Medifast plan because over this past week caring for my Mom in the hospital I’m sure I would have been eating her dove chocolate bars and snack foods from vending machines like everyone else. The added stress would have made me feel it was OK to do. Without my healthy habits and convient healthy foods I know I would have made poor choices. Now that I know better I will do better.

I’ve lost about 35 pounds on Medifast in 7 weeks. It’s been pretty easy – by eating every 2 or 3 hours, I haven’t been hungry and haven’t been tempted to dig into those dove bars (my son enjoys for desert).
I am very jealous that you are able to eat fruit. I miss fresh fruit the most. Can’t wait for maintenance.
