Day 8
Today was the first day of week two on Medifast’s Transition Program. First thing I weighed in and saw I had lost -2 lbs add that to the -1 the week before and I’m now -3 below my goal weight of 150. I’m sure with all the extra food I’ll be adding it will level out pretty soon.
For a little recap on the second week of Transition I will add 1 med piece of fruit or 1/2 cup of cubed fruit or berries. I keep having the extra 1 cup of veggies but I cut back my Medifast meals from 5 to 4 and I still get my lean and green meal.
I started off the morning with a MF blueberry oatmeal and a cup of coffee. For lunch I had MF chicken and wild rice soup. About an hour later I had my first fruit in who knows how long. I was never much of a fruit eater. The boys didn’t finish the grapes off so I had a half of cup of grapes and boy were they good. Looks like I’ll have that all week for my added fruit.
For my lean and green dinner I made shrimp sauteed in olive oil and garlic salt. I had a large salad with Walden Farms Italian dressing and my extra veggie was a cup of frozen corn. I washed it all down with 2 cups of ice water.
Now for some program info you may not know about. While it is true that the Medifast meal replacements have added vitamins and minerals and you don’t need to take extra vitamins everyone should still take Omega 3 daily. You need that extra healthy oil serving on the plan and it could also be flaxseed oil, or primrose oil. Medifast has their own product called Essential1: Heart Health it’s an Omega 3 product.
In the evening I had a cup of coffee with a chocolate crunch bar and before bed I had a cup of MF hot coco.
That sums up my 8th day on Transition.
